How do I connect my standard Amplifier to a Power Amp?

I have a standard amplifier that I would like to connect to a power amp – what’s the usual way of hooking this up – is it through the speaker outputs?
manual for the amp is here: http://ec1.images-amazon.com/media/i3d/02/yamaha_ax396_black_amplifier_manual_b0000c73k8.pdf
I’m yet to buy the power amp.

No, don’t use the speaker outputs, the power amp will go BANG!
Use a line output instead, like a tape out socket.
