Can anyone give me any information in regards to my Teac DVD RW/ VCR Combo?
I bought a Teac DVD RW/ VCR (Model DV-R01) in 2005 and have recently been unable to record my old home videos onto DVD. Either the disc won’t ever finish “writting” or it won’t finish “initializing”. I’ve been told it may be because either the tape or the DVD may be write-protected (recording protected). Teac and other websites have been pretty useless so far.
Sorry I meant to say “finalizing” not “initializing”.
If the unit was able to make DVD’s from your home videos and now it is not then my best guess is that it has developed a problem not related to copyright protection. DVD recorders run on software built into the machine. It is possible that the software is slightly corrupted or possibly your drive may have some type of problem.
I would take it in to get serviced or look into getting a new one. They have gotten cheaper since you bought yours – they are now between $200 and $250.
Where can I find the drive belts for a GE model 3-5671A Stereo Radio Dual Cassette recorder?
I’ve searched using Yahoo, Google and ASK. No results. It seems that GE does not have a support for any electronic items.
They do support appliances very well, but not electronic products.
I’ll post you a link in the source box below. Hope this helps. Just enter in your model number and take it from there. They list a main belt and a counter belt.
Good luck,
Mike
Anyone know how to get a stuck cassette tape out of my car’s tape deck?
I hit the eject button and can hear the motor run, but it won’t lift the tape up to eject. And I hate to have to drop it off at the dealer’s just for this.
i used to cut the tape and pull it through, and if you like the tape rewind it with a pencil and tape it at the cut……….

How can I physically connect an mp3 player in a 2002 Nissan Maxima without using a tape deck transmitter.?
I have an mp3 player that I want to connect using a high quality audio line to my stereo but I don’t want to switch out my stereo. If not is there a higher quality way to connect it to stereo without using a tape deck or an FM Transmitter?
Hey, I was in your shoes for a while but i decided to just get a new head unit that had the front jack for the mp3 player to plug in. There is a way to do it, but no one would recommend it, it would require buying a few electronics stuff and having a little know how with the electrical system in your car. aside from that there is no possible way without using an FM transmitter or deck adapter. Like i said it IS possible but it wouldn’t be very high quality and could be destructive if you went into your dash without know what you where doing.
