Once you start going over cross rails, how much longer before the rails get raised higher?
I know it all depends on your level but typically what is the time line for jumping? Is it something like 3 months of cross rails and then very gradually the jumps get higher or does it typically move quickly once going over the cross rails?
depends on the horse and your ability. if you are just starting jumping get very solid on x-rails because this is the foundation for higher jumping.
I want to replace the Concert head unit in my Audi A4 for a double din Nav unit…?
I have an A4 with the Concert (factory installed) unit with the Bose speakers, I have seen on the internet before of someone replacing this unit with a double din navigation deck. I know it’s a lot of work and this person’s guide was very thorough. Or if you have any advice on how to do this that would rock… Thanks!!
Its possible to do! From reviews and friends, if youre going from the Single Din->Double Din, they suggest you go OEM, for the simple fact that its more of a “plug-and-play” and its guaranteed to work with every function of your car. Seeming that you have a A4, not sure which year you have but i would recommend going with the Audi RNS-E that has navigation, bluetooth, command controls, and you can expand it to play DVDs, iPod, and other stuff. $1000 may seem hefty at first but youll save when it comes to installation bc youll be able to do it yourself!
Theres tons of info on the Audi Forums out there that will help you out bunches… check my sources, they should lead you in the right way… good luck fellow FourRinger

Does anyone have a recommendation of a excellent book on public speaking?
I want to read it so that I will be a much better public speaker, and to be a better communicator in everyday life. I remember hearing someone say that former President Bill Clinton was an excellent public speaker and was persuasive, etc. I wonder what steps he took to become that kind of a speaker. I’m sure that he took at least one course in public speaking, but I wonder what else he did. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you VERY much!
I’m sure there are some decent ones, but I’d suggest joining Toastmasters instead.
You do get a couple manuals with projects that give you step-by-step goals, but obviously the main thing is the chance to practice and get feedback.
Give it a try, I’m sure there’s one near you!

Will a four channel amp give power to all 4 of my speaker and sub woofer?
I know it will power my sub, but will it push all 4 four speakers to the max also?
I just started to get into the sub woofer sound so im kinda new to it….just trying to get info before i buy them
My speakers are new and so is my reciever
It depends on the amp. some are able to run in “Tri-mode”. You have to run passive cross-overs to do it though. It would be better to run a separate amp on the sub.
To run in Tri-mode, you run the sub bridged on channels 3 and 4. Run a passive cross-over on it, from like 80Hz and down. Run a passive set on the speakers on the same channels, from 80 and up. You use a capacitor on each speaker, in series with the + wire, for the high-pass. For 4-ohm speakers, you would need a 500 Microfarads (µfd) capacitor. For the sub, if it is 4-ohm, you would need a 8 Millihenries (mHy) coil, wired in series with the + wire. Different ohm loads need different values of each.
