You will need more than a Cap and Resistor. AC is not DC and LEDs are all DC. So first you have to change the AC to DC then reduce the voltage. A 3V DC power supply would be your best choice, that will have what you need. But that will include a step down transformer, a rectifier (for DC) and some filtering, caps and resistors.
I did find one old print that comes close, but you do need to add a diode for DC.

Good stereo system for my car?
Ok, so I have a 2005 Camry with the stock stereo and all. I would like a better sounding system, mainly the sub woofers, because i like rap. I need to know the perfect size so that my stereo doesn’t blow out, or that it doesn’t rattle too much. My friend has the same car and a 10″ in a tube and it sounds pretty nice, but i would like to know what size would sound the best, and if possible, any specific subs. And i have about $200 to spend.
I wouldn’t hook up a sub to a stereo alone. You need an amp and subs or you could just get a girlly bazooka. If you don’t want it too loud then turn it down (duh). When you have a system that won’t be too loud the size doesn’t matter. Here is a list for some subs I would get kicker or pioneer for quality.

i tried to install a car stereo myself and now my back lights and my dashboard lights arent working?
I tried to install my own car stereo, bad mistake 
Now my backlights dont work, the brake lights does and my main front light works, but my dashboards lights dont. Im not sure if I unlugged something or what. Any advice?
you blew a fuse look in the fuse box and change the bad one it should be labeled as well
