Neo Soul
Do you know any good neo soul places in Phoenix, AZ?

Like a nice soulful R&B spot or neo soul nights?

Neo means “New.”

Have you ever been to the Rhythm Room? Very nice stuff played there. It’s not in the best part of town, but they do have fenced parking and security. Here’s their schedule for players during March.

See anyone you like on there?

Vintage Philco
Does anyone have any idea how to find out about a PHILCO electric stove, it’s vintage!!?

I have tried finding out about this stove through various dealers and antique stores, noone knows anything….It’s sitting in my garage and waiting for some knowledgeable person to look at it! it’s white and copper, and has roast meter..it has 3 burners in the back and 1 on the left front, if anyone could help out answer away!!! Thanks in advance…

Have you googled Philco?– I remember these products– a company that built many home appliances– the late ’40s and ’50s– probably into the 60’s– I can’t remember to whom/what company Philco was sold– I am guessing Westinghouse.
Anyway– google Philco and see if anything comes up– maybe you will get the company that bought them and that may lead you on to more answers.
good luck

How You Can Profit From Japan’s Solution To Its Energy Crisis
Just days after Money Morning columnist Peter Krauth predicted a global uptick in liquefied natural gas (LNG) demand because of the nuclear-powerplant disaster in Japan, experts predicted the Asian heavyweight would boost LNG imports by 50% to help ease the massive energy shortage the country now faces because of the tragedy.

Tube Receiver
Where does one get vacuum tubes tested for a early 70’s radio receiver? ?

Where does one get vacuum tubes

A tube testor could be hard to find but here are some ideas…

If you know of or can get in touch with some local ham operators (Amatuer Radio operators) as them if anyone in the area collects or restores antique radios. If you locate someone like this give them a call they probably have a tube tester and might be willing to help.

Another idea would be an old TV shop in town, if they are still in business. They might have an old tester around from past years.

Tube testers can be found on sale on Ebay as well as all kinds of tubes both new and used. (buyer beware – but good stuff can be found.)

A commercial site that has lots of tubes and more for old radio restoration is www.tubesandmore.com.

Radio Ipod
Can I listen to the radio on an IPOD Touch without connecting to the internet?

Is it possible to listen to the radio when I’m out and about? If yes does it come with the Ipod touch or do I buy it as an accessory. I could not find it in the Apple shop.

No. Thats why you put tons of songs on it that you enjoy listening to. When you’re at a wifi place you can listen to iHeartradio. It is a free app that has several different radio stations. Some local and some nationwide.
