Repair Manual
Where can I find the repair manual for an Infocus LP120 Video projector?

I need to repair my projector and need a service guide / repair manual. Any ideas where I can download one from? ( please note I don’t want a user guide on how to operate one ).

That may be a hard thing to find – Infocus really does not give those out to anyone but an authorized service center. They really want you to send it back to them – sorry.

Most projector companies are that way.

By the way, small projectors are notoriously hard to work on and take apart. Taking them apart can be like a puzzle that won’t go back together easily. I know this from experience.

Idler Tire
I own a 2003 Chevy Venture van and it is making a loud humming sound. What could it be?

There is no sound at idle however during acceleration the sound becomes louder. I just replaced two tires yesterday and the brakes were replaced a few months ago. The transmission had the pan dropped and worked on back in April with an installation of a new radiator.

If it only does it when vehicle is moving, it could be a bad wheel bearing or tire. If it will make the noise when sitting still and revving, it could be a bad alt, powr steering pump, water pump bearing etc. Drive it by your mechanic and have them take a quick look.

Do I need to re-foam my subwoofer?

I just got a used Cerwin Vega SAT-6W subwoofer. I was taking it apart to make sure the foam wasn’t rotten- it isn’t. However, I accidentally put my fingernail through the foam surround. It is a very small hole, maybe 1/2 inch, and the speaker still sounds fine. Should I still get it re-foamed? Thanks in advance!

I don’t think so, you might get some silicone cement from the Home Store and carefully patch it together where its torn.
I have seen it done with out bad effects.

Speaker Cone
what should I use for a speaker cone?

If I use epoxy glaze over a cloth to make a speaker cone will it crack over time?how bout polyurethane?or lacker?which of the 3 are better for lightweight extreme hardness that will last through extreme vibration?if epoxy, which is better 1 part or 2 part epoxy?

you have to use something that sets hard, in order to produce high frequency notes. If you use a soft material, you will lose the top end. I have seen some speaker cones made of stiff plastic, like that used in plastic Coke bottles.
