I have a 2005 Ford F-350 crew cab diesel. I am installing an aftermarket stereo – a Pioneer AVIC-X-920BTS. It asks me to hook up a car speed signal input and a reverse gear signal input. Where in the truck can I find these wires to tap into?
Does this radio have a display for backing up and capable of playing movies (dont want to watch those while going down the road lol i.e. speed sensor) Hope you put money into some ARP head studs and an EGR delete : )
You can probably get the book/info by googling or buying a repair manual at autozone
Can a large appliance draw power from other devices; especially ones that have capacitors.?
Specifically when my AC kicks on my audio amplifier “dims” in volume. The audio “dimming” is just as fast as the light flicker which I would expect. However if I were to normally unplug the amplifier with signal running the fade time is much longer; (as the caps loose all new energy amp fades out). So I feel that the AC unit is stealing power out of my vintage McIntosh amplifier.

To have a momentary dim must, power has to be pulled out of my caps. If you are not a professional audio or electrical engineer I don’t need a bad answer.
All that’s happening is, when the AC starts, it requires a large amount of power until it gets going. As your power supply is not unlimited, it causes a momentary drop in the line, so that your lights and other appliances are affected! It is not stealing power from your amplifier as such, it is just at one instant there’s not enough to go around!

my new car stereo has a different size power supply than the old one?
I bought a new car stereo (CDE-102) for my Hyundai Accent 2001. The power connector on the original is bigger than the one on my new stereo. The Bestbuy website says that it is a fit for my car, so what to i do to fix this issue?
go to walmart and get a wiring harness for your car. one side will plug into your power connectors and the other will plug into the radio that you bought. they’re like 15 dollars.

Is there an audio splitter for a home/bookshelf stereo system?
I’ve got a bookshelf stero system with only 1 audio input for the red & white connectors, one for my computer and I’d like to hook up my DVD’s audio into it too. Are there any splitters available for allowing this?
Get something like this it will work just fine just don’t have the dvd player and the computer playing an audio source at the sam time it will sound terrible because they will be mixed together.
