Do you prefer buying brand new vintage/retro-style clothes, or authentic vintage clothes?
For those who are into wearing vintage/retro types of fashion, do you prefer to buy completely brand new clothes which emulate the old styles…or do you prefer to buy authentic vintage clothes which have worn before?
Some people might find it gross to wear second-hand stuff (e.g. shoes), while others might feel that the quality of old clothes (e.g. the material, handmade stuff, etc.) just can’t be duplicated in new clothing.
Thrift stores are my hang out baby! You can’t have the vintage style without vintage clothing! That wouldn’t work now would it?!
I don’t see the problem in clothing that has been worn before…you can wash it! In fact, do you know how many people have tried on that cute little vintage number in the store before you bought it ‘brand new?’ Quite a few, let me tell ya!
I also believe that the quality of today’s clothing doesn’t come close to the quality back then. Today everything’s made for cheap in factories. Using the cheapest fabrics and the same old designs. Be original!
