How to clean old used tattoo tubes?
An apprentice at my shop misplace a tub of used tattoo tubes (10). They”ve been in green soap for 5 months. Can I safely open the container and clean the tubes with soft scrub and then put in the auto-clave? Is there any sort of spore or air born pathogen that could have been created as a result of them sitting so long? I’d hate to throw them out as tube are expensive, but then again I don’t want to open the container and breath something in.
I’m not aware of any pathogen that could be created by them soaking in green soap. Any pathogen I can think of would be in there cause of the bodily fluids in the tubes themselves. Spores im not 100% sure on. Ive never heard of green soap reacting to any sort of bodily fluid or tissue in a manner to cause something to grow. I think you would be ok to use normal precautions when cleaning and sterilizing those tubes. Just make sure and give them a good go in the ultra sonic cleaner then autoclave them.

Im getting sick of this YELLOW light..I would want to buy a light which gives me WHITE LIGHT..something like a tube light…………I cant get it in TARGET,WALGREENS…any place where i can get it ONLINE????
Any good hardware store will have daylight balanced fluorescent tubes. Check the color temperature (rated in degrees Kelvin; daylight ranges from 5000K to 7500K) and find the one with the highest color rendering index (CRI) for the most accurate color balance. A perfect CRI would be 100 but good bulbs rate around 90. You can also find them online: Try Ace Hardware, Home Depot, or Bulbman.com

The Civil War sloop Constellation and the World War II sub Torsk, both Baltimore harbor tourist attractions, are dry-docked together for repairs. Out of the water for the first time since 1998, the 1854 sloop of war Constellation looked pretty good to its caretakers as they walked beneath its grimy hull, now propped up in dry dock at the Sparrows Point Shipyard.
